I'll admit that I'm not the geek I was and that I've forgotten a lot of what I did know from simple disuse, but the Radom never really was on my radar, at least not to the extent that I knew its innards. I just saw it as a semi-auto somewhat similar in appearance to a 1911. I did have the opportunity to buy one many years ago for $40 (around $300 today) but my reaction was "What, a Polish pistol? I'm too smart to fall for that!" See, even Stu Wayne was once young and foolish.
