I saw TJ's answer and I see why your clue was still opaque to me - I had no idea the Radom was that different from a Colt! Appearances can be deceiving...
The 1911 was also designed with horse cavalry in mind but Browning took a different approach - goaded on by the US Army's acceptance board. They insisted on a grip safety as I recall. Stu |
