Good question; not that I know of, but I'm not the gun's first owner. And with your .38 gun, it's a non-issue--it only takes one type of ammo. Certainly. The only reason I mentioned it was to indicate that it took no more cleaning of the .357 than of the .38 when shooting similar .38 ammo in both. Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think two things here are true. First, a lot of people like to shoot both magnums and specials during the same session--as you noted, problems can arise when that practice occurs. Second, a lot of people hate to clean their guns, especially revolvers, and even when cleaning them often overlook the cylinder chambers, which is the problem area. Over several sessions the powder residue and lead build up and suddenly there is a problem. I also wonder if your .357 PPC gun had extra smooth chambers? And with your .38 gun, it's a non-issue--it only takes one type of ammo. |
